Default 2008 Bush hog model 2010 10 foot heavy shredder

    •••••••••••Thanks guy•••••••••••••••••
Mowing time is almost here so I need to get movin. I have a bush hog 2010 that I bought and had custom hinged to fit on a flatbed trailer. The 2010 is a solid 2 spindle 10 footer. I had a fab shop band saw cut the deck a foot on both sides and weld heavy hinges creating "wings". The result was a rigid 10 foot shredder that is portable. I wanted to have a smaller unit that I could pull on a smaller trailer. Unfortunately my smaller Kubota doesn't run the 10 foot very well. It's just to big of a cut for it and I want to go down to an 8 foot. August in Texas has it creeping into the red, causing me to stop and idle for a while more than I would like. You need at least a 60 horse to run it but a 70 would be ideal. It will last a guy a lifetime if taken care of. I've put around 250 hours on it since new mowing field grass so it still look good. Come out and I'll hook it up and demo. Thing runs very smooth. Asking $3800.00. Sean. 903 217 6008

How much HP at the pto does you little orange have?
I have a 45hp @ pto massey, wondering if it would drive it...
Tired of my 8 foot cutter, too slow, too many passes

I ran it with a 60 horse and a 85 horse. The 60 runs it but overheats in 95 degree days if the grass is thick. The 85 doesn't even know its there. Ran it with my 160 horse plow tractor for fun once. An 8 foot behind a 45 is about as big as the tractor would run. I'm going back to a 8 foot with my 60. I can run in 2nd or 3rd high range with an 8. The 10 footer had me split in 4th low and 1st high. I bought a Kubota ZTR with a 60" deck and may give up on tractors altogether.
