    The embattled liberal group ACORN is in the process of dissolving its national structure, with state and local-chapters splitting off from the underfunded, controversial national group, an official close to the group confirmed.

    "ACORN has dissolved as a national structure of state organizations," said a senior official close to the group, who declined to be identified by name because of the fierce conservative attacks on the group that began when a conservative filmmaker caught some staffers of its tax advisory arms on tape appearing to offer advice on incorporating a prostitution business.

    The videos proved a rallying point for conservatives who had long accused the group of fomenting voting fraud. Though the videos did not produce criminal charges, they appear to have been fatal to the national organization.

    I'd be more inclined to believe they're reforming under another name, just like progressives, who used to be liberals, who used to be progressives. Slight of hand is their game plan so you're not paying attention to the con taking place behind your back.

    Exactly... ACORN has other companies under different names... it's just a sleight of hand trick.

    I agree - slight of hand but still a major victory as it disrupted what they were doing in a time when we can't afford the ballot box stuffing.

    I saw your link at politico, so I decided to sign up and let you folks know about something happening in your state.

    See how a state political party refuses to provide documentation as required by the state of Texas election and public information laws.

    REMEMBER the ALAMO? jbjd

    File a complaint, many Texas citizens have already filed complaints, the more complaints received by the State Attorney General, the more he will be willing to investigate the fraud.

    Not many, if any, states have election laws that provide for accountability of a state political party regarding elections, Texas is unique!
